INDIANAPOLIS — Fishers resident Chris Jeter took the oath of office Wednesday to serve out the remainder of the term of former state House Speaker Brian Bosma, who recently retired from the legislature after 34 years.
Jeter is also the Republican nominee for the seat in District 88 in the November election. He is opposed by Democrat Pam Dechert. District 88 encompasses a portion of western Hancock County, including Fortville and McCordsville.
Jeter is a lawyer and a Navy Reserve officer. He lives in Fishers with his wife, Karen, and their three children.
